We really like Photology and think it's great. But we're biased: nobody ever thinks their baby is ugly. So, short of trying it for yourself, you'll have to take our word for it, bias and all. If you want an unbiased opinion, you can read what these fine folks have said about Photology.

"It is very intuitive and much more fun to search using these kinds of filters rather than just plain text. ... Definitely very cool software and well worth the $39 if you have a crap load of pictures!"

"If you are going to insist on still making client-only software, at least put up a Flash demo on the Web. That is what startup Enoetic just did, with this slick demo of its Photology software for organizing and searching through your digital photos."

"For a scrapbooker, this may be even more helpful, especially if combining colour selections with some features / faces etc. This would allow you to find all those beach shots of your daughter where she is wearing that bright red swimming costume, for instance."

"It's a brilliant piece of software that, once installed, can find any photo you want, based on almost any detail you can remember. ... Essentially, the program can determine the content of your photos and filter them accordingly so that you can find the one you want with the minimum amount of time and energy. Isn't that cool!?"

"The interface of Photology is simplicity itself. You don't search laboriously file by file or folder by folder, but instead use filters ... But, really, the whole point of the program, is so that the average user can avoid the tagging bloat situation where you (well, I'm guilty of this too) add tags like "kayak" so you can distinguish pictures of kayaks from ones tagged with the word "canoe.""

"The program is stunningly simple to use and the fliters do all the work for you. Rather than imposing a rigid organization scheme for you to follow, (when it's clear that dog wont hunt) you can rely on the various search filters to get you what you're looking for. In addition, to help get you acclimated, Photology provides some nice video tutorials."
